Do You Know Enough About Taking Prescription Medications?

Learn how to better manage your medications by taking this quiz.

Older people have a greater risk for drug interactions.
Tell your health care provider and pharmacist about all the prescription medications, supplements, alternative remedies, and all over-the-counter (OTC) medicines that you take.
Be sure you can recognize your medications by shape, color, size, and name.
Don't refill prescriptions until they run out.
Discuss any changes in diet with your health care provider.
During each visit, ask your health care provider to review your medications.
If possible, purchase all your prescription medications at one pharmacy.
It's safe to take someone else's medication if you have the same condition.
Follow extra precautions when taking medications at night.
